Membership Categories

Membership is open to any person over 18 years of age. 

The 2 main membership options are detailed below, however other available options include: Corporate Membership and Coach/Coxswain Memberships.

Membership runs for a full year (Jan-Dec), payment options may be available and can be discussed with the Treasurer.

Social Membership

This category is designed for those rowers who wants to participate in the guided Saturday social session for fun and fitness, but also want to row more often. Perhaps you want to row on a Sunday morning when it is so quiet on the river or participate in the Tuesday & Thursday semi-organised sessions.

  • Can row in any Club organised rowing session (currently Saturday morning) or a crew organised session on the same day
  • Can join in the formal coaching sessions during the competitive season (usually Mar-Sep), when available
  • Can also join in any semi-organised social rowing sessions subject to the invitation of the leader
  • Can also row as an individual subject to experience or participate in crew rowing at other times if competent
  • Can compete at any time during the calendar year, after upgrading to Competitive Membership and upon payment of the appropriate capitation fee to Rowing WA & Rowing Australia (this excludes MURC Mini Regatta and Albany Regatta)

Competitive Membership

This category is designed for the rower who wishes to participate in all levels of rowing:  social club rowing, mid-week crew organised rowing and at all competitive regattas.

  • Can row in any Club organised rowing session (currently Saturday morning) or a crew organised session on the same day
  • Can join in the formal coaching sessions during the competitive season (usually Mar-Sep), when available
  • Can row at any time subject to boat availability and experience
  • Can nominate for Pennant and Masters Regattas, as well as Head Races and National Regattas
  • Does not include Rowing WA Registration and seat fees, see: Rowing WA fees

NB: Competitive members are expected to be up to regatta standard - to determine this, discuss with the relevant Captain (Ladies or Men).
